Dreampower began in 1988, from the vision and creativity of Shari Woods. Shari is the mother of five (now all grown up) creative children. Shari understood the important role of imaginative play in kids lives and development.
Shari designed and hand-sewed her first costume masterpieces for her own children. They received such praise and interest from other kids and their parents, that she quickly saw the demand for her unique costume designs.
Dreampower was an immediate hit!
In 1996, after graduating with a degree in Fine Arts, daughter Sarah joined the Dream-life! Now, Sarah is the mother of two, Maya and Mason. They provide a great deal of inspiration.
Shari and Sarah use the finest fabrics, and original designs to create heirloom quality, everyday-wearable dress-up clothes. Dreampower costumes are sold online, at craft shows, and at the studio in Waterloo by appointment.
